DIAMOND STURGEON

Diamond Sturgeons are some of the largest freshwater fish of the world. Along with undeniable beauty and temper, these sturgeons have very impressive qualifications. They reach up to 80 kilograms and grow up to 2 meters in length. That's not all with the engaging data – these biggies stand out with longevity as well. They live up to 100 years, that’s a whole century! So, the Diamonds are forever, genuinely!

Mature Diamond sturgeons carry caviar in amounts of 10-15% of their own body weight. That’s a quite substantial amount! These flamboyant fish know their worth and require the highest quality supplements. That’s why they grow fast and demonstrate all the beauty and abundance that they carry. Diamond Sturgeons can be milked usually once in two years and the milking period starts from approximately 6-8 years of age. At that stage sturgeon weigh about 10-15 kgs and carry about 2-3 kg of caviar. As the fish gets bigger, the amount of caviar grows in direct proportion. All the caviar from your fish will be fully deliberated to you in the form of CC Token. At the initial stage, you will only be able to claim your CC token and thereupon, receive caviar. Afterwards, you will gain the power of reselling your tokens. BIG FISH aims to offer you automatic selling features in the future.

By purchasing BIG FISH you respectively get up to 6 milkings, guaranteed by the Georgian Fish and Caviar. If claimed, the caviar of your fish will be delivered to you directly from the farm. However, you will have to cover the shipping costs. Ensuing advancements include utility extensions based on this flow.

BACKUP PLAN

As with every living thing, fish also tend to get sick sometimes. We do our best to avoid this, mortality in our fish farm is quite low, but 5% of the fish die of natural causes. For the benefits of the fish and NFT owners, Georgian Fish and Caviar established a new pool of 8,000+ fish to ensure all the unforeseen cases. These fish will be taken after separately and will only join the metaverse when needed.

BIG FISH APP

We are in the process of creating a dedicated BIG FISH app to make your experience more tangible and realistic. You may not be able to hold the fish in your hands, but we will try to make you feel like it.

The fish differ by age, weigh and even sex, but that could be determined only after 36-48 months. The app will help you track all that data and keep an eye on the updates. This app allows you to distinguish changes in your fish through pre-inserted unharmful microchips. This chip delivers information about how many kilograms is your fish, when is the next milking time expected, number of previous milkings, health conditions and so on. Each fish is unique, you know, so you need to take a closer look.

The app can be downloaded on iOS and Android systems and needs internet connection.

Beluga Sturgeon is one of the most exclusive fish out there, which produces highly-priced caviar with outstanding flavor and exquisite aftertones.

Beluga is the largest sturgeon – with a significant weight up to 1,000 kilograms and longevity of up to 100 years. Mature Belugas may carry several hundred pounds of caviar, which can be worth thousands of US dollars. They are nature’s true treasure. This incredible value, combined with the amount of caviar a single sturgeon can produce, makes this species the most valuable fish in the world. Despite being granted limited legal protection in many areas, its numbers are getting lower. That's why Georgian Fish and Caviar takes very special care to keep each specimen healthy and robust.

HISTORY

Colchian Sturgeon is the rarest fish in our farm. As it’s an endemic species and can be found only in Georgia, this makes it one of the most wanted and privileged. Colchian Sturgeon is a symbol of Georgian freshwaters and obliges special care and treatment. It can grow up to 60 kilograms and live up to 60 years.

The caviar reproduced by these posh fellows tastes like nothing else. It’s smooth, has buttery aftertones, with a hinch of water flora and various seaweed.

Nowadays, most of the Colchian Sturgeons live on our farm and this graceful community is quite precious to all of us.

DAO

Our main statement is that BIG FISH aspires to be fully community-owned.

As governance tokens are distributed, our project aims to evolve into a Decentralized Autonomous Organization over time. The transition to DAO will be seamless, with all of the benefits accruing to the BIG FISH community.

Once you have received all guaranteed commitments from the BIG FISH project, assembled your NFTs, and collected all your tokens, the fish swims towards the DAO.

NFT Holders retain 70% of the BIG FISH project. All the future real-world events and earnings will be equally distributed to each holder.

Proportionately, the rest goes to the Georgian Fish and Caviar farm. 5% of the royalty deliberated to DAO, in order to evolve the BIG FISH project and set higher goals.

The Georgian Fish and Caviar was founded in 2014 and since then has been actively working to create the ideal mother material and caviar.

The activity of the farm Georgian Fish and Caviar is aimed at preserving nature and wildlife, saving endangered species and producing quality products. Currently, the farm is one of the largest producers of sturgeon caviar in the region. Our history has led to the emergence of new enterprises and companies that we are happy to help and share experience with.

challenges

Georgian Fish and Caviar set high goals from the very first day of its existence. That's why we faced all the challenges directly and solved them in scrupulous scientific ways. Dealing with this vast legacy can create barriers in areas such as clean water, high-quality supplements, and arranging natural habitat.

All three species of our farmfish need particularly clean water, that’s why Georgian Fish and Caviar has created appropriate habitat for each of them. The farm has an intensive inflow of water from the Kintrishi River. International laboratory studies have shown that the water of the Kintrishi River is one of the cleanest in the country. This is one of the rivers of Adjara, flowing into the eastern coast of the Black Sea. In the upper reaches of the Kintrishi River, there is the Kintrishi Nature Reserve, established in 1959 to preserve the unique flora and fauna.

The Kintrishi River is located in the same region (western Georgia) as Rioni, one of the main sturgeon habitats. At the moment, Rioni is the only active sturgeon spawning river in the eastern part of the Black Sea. Due to the similarity of these two rivers, our fish live in pure natural water, so the habitat is as close to the wild as possible.

Since the river brings almost 18% of natural food, the workers also help with food supplements. In order to select the right fish food, we collect data about the environment in which they live. We conduct laboratory tests including water level control, water characteristics, temperature and composition data. We use only European-made feeds such as Biomar, Skretting and Coppens, which means that the fish are fed only quality supplements.
